AMERICAN clubs Brooklyn Kings and Boston 13s will return to active duty in the Delaware Nines next weekend, it has been announced.

They will join the host club, according to the Delaware Black Foxes, at the event to be held at Eden Park in Wilmington Delaware on Saturday June 25.

A social media post by the Black Foxes said the event would start at 4pm and run to 9pm. The Kings and 13s had defected from the establishment USARL to the breakaway North American Rugby League, which has so far failed to materialise.

A separate report said New York Freedom, also formed to join the abortive NARL, would also compete in the tournament.

North America has been a hive of activity in Nines Rugby League in recent weeks with events in Naples Florida and Vancouver British Columbia.

A Toronto Nines in August has also been mentioned by some American clubs.
