UKRAINE, Thailand, Chile, South Sudan, Philippines, Malta, Syria, Macedonia and Cambodia will all be represented at the Harmony Nines in suburban Wollongong this weekend.

The concept, showcasing diversity in Australian rugby league at grassroots level, began in 2009. This weekend’s two-day event at Croome Road Sporting Complex in Albion Park will involve as many as 1000 men and women, boys and girls.

There will be under 16s, under 18s and opens as well as a mixed tag competition which has been added for the first time.

“Harmony Nines 2023 promises to be a remarkable tournament,” Heritage Rugby League NSW president Javed Hamidi told the NSWRL website.

“Heritage Rugby League is thrilled to see enthusiastic interest from heritage teams and players, and we are looking forward to an exciting festival of football and a wonderful celebration of culture.”
