A Nines tournament in Dublin will open the Irish rugby league season the weekend after this.

All domestic teams are expected to take part in the the May 14 tournament, which was to take place at Coolamine but has been moved to Terenure.

“It’s a ‘kick off the season’ event amongst the clubs to start things off with a bit of fun and social stuff,” said RLI chairman Jim Reynolds.

The first Rugby League Ireland Nines were staged in 2014 and it’s been an annual event ever since, with the obvious exception of Covid.

We hope to have the draw for you in the coming days.
