A new initiative to promote Rugby League Nines in non-traditional markets will be launched tonight with the first episode of #NinesAtNine.
Rugby League Nines social channels will carry delayed coverage of the recent Malta-Ireland clash from the Sydney Nines, enhanced by commentary, graphics, replays and an introduction in Irish, at 9pm Dublin time.
A version of the match with an introduction in Maltese will then be played out ‘as live’ on the same channels at 9pm Valletta time tomorrow (March 24) with further games from the tournament to follow in the coming weeks.
NovoSports and Rugby League Nines are boosting the posts in these markets to increase awareness of the abbreviated version of the sport and of the national teams representing these nations Down Under.
Other countries who will enjoy the same exposure in coming weeks include Vietnam, Philippines, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Cook Islands and Niue.
The streams will go out on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Periscope/Twitter and Instagram. After each broadcast, the games will be made available at watch.rugbyleaguehub.com for VOD viewing.
