YORK City Knights and Warrington Wolves could go into next week’s RFL Women’s Nines finals undefeated in 13-a-side matches this season.

That’s the record the teams have with one round of the Women’s Super League remaining before they meet four rivals from England and France at AJ Bell Stadium on July 24 for the title of European Nines Club Champions.

The Wolves, who gained the wildcard entry to the finals, are not only undefeated in Women’s Super League Group Two after five matches – they’ve scored 292 points and conceded just six.

In Group One, York have played four and won them all, scoring 133 points and conceding just 22. Behind them are fellow Salford qualifiers Leeds (second), St Helens (third) and Huddersfield (fifth).

The Catalans Goddesses, meanwhile, are out of season but were beaten finalists in 13-a-side this year.

York’s unbeaten record goes on the line this Sunday against Huddersfield while Warrington meet Bradford.
