THE French women’s Nines featuring seven clubs will be staged at Stade Alessandra in Cavaillon tomorrow.
Kicking off the domestic season with a Nines tournament is becoming an annual tradition in France, where the men had their event in Toulouges on Saturday.
As in the men’s tournament, teams are split into two pools – in this case one of four teams and one of three.
Once again the structure is extremely compact, using two fields to ensure an event that stats at 11am is over by 3pm.
Cavaillon is a commune in the Vaucluse department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of Southeastern France. It is situated in the Durance Valley, at the foot of the Luberon mountains.
