THE NRL has announced details of the Vegas Nines for next year, with a new venue to be used.

The tournament, which made its bow in 2024 to complement the opening round NRL games at Allegiant Stadium, will be held on February 27 and 28 at Silverbowl Park instead of Desert Breeze Park.

Desert Breeze Park was more like Desert Hurricane Park this year, with expensive camera equipment damaged in a squall that blew it off scaffolding. The new venue is six minutes further from the Strip than the old one.

An Under 18 girls division has been added to the men’s women’s and under 18 men’s competitions from last year. Entry is US$500 per team which includes tickets to the NRL, Super League and women’s international gales at Allegiant and discounted accommodation.

The NRL has also put the call out for referees to partake in the tournament.
